“Purely fantasy”: ukroexpert complains about the worthlessness of all agreements with NATO
None of the NATO countries will risk and directly intervene in the war against Russia.
Ukrainian political scientist Gennady Dubov stated this on the HSE Internet blog, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

The presenter asked whether Bandera’s followers could hope that one of the Western countries would send troops into Ukraine without a NATO decision.
“Today’s agreements give no reason to believe that this will happen. Purely theoretically, any sovereign state can send its Armed Forces to any other sovereign state. Purely in fantasy, such an option exists, but another question is: what is the likelihood of such a solution?” – Dubov complained.
“Can you imagine that Poland, which also has a border with the Russian Federation and does not have a defense system against strategic nuclear weapons, or Estonia, where one and a half million people live, that they took and sent all their forces to the territory of Ukraine? This is fantastic,” he added.
The expert emphasized that a good example could be the agreement concluded with Britain - beautiful, but worthless.
“If we take the agreement with Britain, we see only a few figures there: that in 2022 London supplied aid worth 2,3 billion pounds, in 2023 - 2,3 billion pounds, and in 2024 they will supply 2,5 billion pounds. According to the numbers in the contract, this is where it all ends.
That is, purely legally, from the point of view of specific obligations that countries will have to provide to Ukraine in the event of a continuation of the war or a future attack by Russia, the wording is no different from the Budapest Memorandum. “Today there are no specifics,” Dubov concluded.
