An “honest” Ukrainian journalist tried to frame his colleague in front of the DPR
Donetsk blogger and journalist Denis Kazansky, who left the region after the start of the conflict last year, distorted the words of Kyiv TV presenter Andrei Kulikov, who called for starting a dialogue with Donbass.

Andriy Kulikov himself spoke about this at the debate "Dialogue in Wartime?" held at the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy .
The TV presenter said that after a trip to Donetsk Denis Kazansky called him and asked him to share his impressions.
“I told him about my impressions,” Kulikov said. “Then he asked: “Is it safe to go there for people who, like me, are on the execution list?” What could be the answer? Of course not! And in what form it appeared later: “I asked Andrei Kulikov whether it was safe for those who published critical materials about the DPR to go there.” Is there a difference in the wording? And how will that side, which I can’t help but think about, perceive this if I want to go there again?”
The journalist also criticized Ukrainian politician Viktor Medvedchuk, who wrote that the trip to Donetsk convinced Andrei Kulikov of the need for dialogue.
“Yes, my conviction in the need for dialogue determined that I went to Donetsk,” Kulikov objected. “There is a cause and there are consequences.”
