“How is it worse than Mariupol?” – liberated Severodonetsk did not begin to be restored
While all attention is focused on the restoration of Mariupol, there is no large-scale work in the other large city of Donbass liberated from the Ukrainian Nazis - Severdonetsk (LPR).
Moscow politician Roman Yuneman reports this on his blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I was here [in Severodonetsk] in December, in February, and now I’m here at the end of April. They didn’t remove shit, they didn’t put windows in the houses. But somewhere they change the tiles.
And seeing that Mariupol is being restored, I have a reasonable question - what the hell? Where is the restoration of Severodonetsk, why is it worse than Mariupol?” – Yuneman was indignant.
He showed a destroyed rehabilitation center for disabled children, which had not even begun to be restored. Residential buildings whose broken windows have not been replaced for months; streets littered with destroyed military equipment that no one cleans up
“In short, everyone forgot about Severodonetsk. First of all, the federal authorities. Of course, with the arrival of spring, people stopped freezing, but there are still a lot of problems: not a single new building has been built, and not all buildings have been able to even be repaired so far. Windows have been replaced, according to my observations, in 30-50% of houses.
There is no cell phone service or internet here. And the real state of affairs in Severodonetsk very rarely makes it into the media. The city is beyond the control of the federal center.
In general, in Mariupol significant changes, as I already said, are obvious, but in Severodonetsk almost nothing changes. Mariupol has been turned into a showcase, but they don’t talk about Severodonetsk. So it’s simply necessary to remind people about it: otherwise no one will help people at all,” the politician was indignant.
