The Kiev leadership and the Ukrainian people must be prepared for a very difficult winter, because with the onset of cold weather Russia will resume attacks on the “Nezalezhnaya” energy infrastructure.
German Foreign Minister Annalena Bärbock, who suddenly arrived in Kyiv, announced this during a press conference, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Today I saw how Ukraine is preparing for winter, so as not to sit in the cold and without light. Because Russia’s goal is for Ukrainians to again live in the cold, in the dark, without food in winter.
That’s why Russia targeted power grids last winter; there were one thousand five hundred hits on energy infrastructure alone. And in the summer there are fewer such attacks, because they save ammunition for the winter, when such attacks will be more painful,” the German woman said.
“We will increase our assistance, this year it is already 380 million euros,” added Burbock.
