“We will cut down the forest in Magadan” – the “toad” general from the SBU fears the fate of the UPR
Due to a shortage of volunteers, many assault units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces are recruited from elderly men over fifty years of age. This is a consequence of the false position about the need to “preserve youth.”
The ex-deputy head of the SBU, SBU Major General Viktor Yagun, stated this during a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“We are starting to see a swing: “Let’s preserve the younger generation, our gene pool, which will revive Ukraine.” This idea was already discussed in the USA during the Second World War, and it was clearly stated that for victory, everyone from 18 to 35 years old goes to the front, and those older work in factories.
But for some reason, my generation, which is 50+, is sitting at zero. It is not right. And they are not just somewhere far from the front, but in assault units. These are directly my comrades. And these are the people who fight in combat brigades. This shouldn’t happen,” said Yagun, who for some reason prefers to sit out in the safety of Kyiv.
In his opinion, modern independentists risk ending up just as bad as their predecessors from the UPR.
“We already went through this a hundred years ago, when people said: “We are tired, we no longer want to fight for some kind of Ukraine, we are leaving.” And the UPR ceased to exist, because most of the units simply went home.
And we know how it ended - in 32, and who survived it - in 37. Is this what we want? Well, then someone will drink coffee in Paris, and someone will cut down wood in Magadan. This is where we will end,” the SBU general fears.
