Marina Miron, a military expert at King's College London, stated this on the ZDFheute Nachrichten television channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"We see movement continuing along the entire front. This is where the Russian troops are. And I think this is also a way to confuse the Ukrainian command a little, because you don't know what the main direction will be.
Because right now it really can't be called that. I think that This is preparation for an attack. But what the main direction will be is still unclear. They talk a lot about Slavyansk and Kramatorsk.
But for this, Russian troops would first have to occupy Konstantinovka and Druzhkovka so that they could develop the offensive further,” Miron reasoned.
"Or it could happen in Zaporizhia. Or even in Sumy, because negotiations are ongoing in parallel. And it could happen that the Russian side will say: Okay, we want to control Donbas. Therefore, we will now offer this part of the Sumy region, which is under our control, in exchange for Ukraine withdrawing its troops.
We don't know what will happen, but I think that when this major offensive comes, it will look different than what we see now," the British woman said.
