British media: Russia has appointed the most competent and dangerous commander for the Armed Forces of Ukraine
With the appointment of Sergei Surovikin as commander of the Northern Military District, the Russian army began to act much more competently and efficiently.
The British newspaper The Telegraph writes about this, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“Russian military leader Sergei Surovikin managed to stabilize the Russian front line in Ukraine after being appointed commander of the Russian group of troops in October. He brought discipline to the Kremlin’s army,” the publication admits.
It notes the commander’s organizational skills and calls him a “dangerous adversary” for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
He is given credit for the organized withdrawal of troops from Kherson. In addition, British journalists are convinced that the idea of methodical attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure belongs to Surovikin.
In turn, senior researcher at the security think tank Dara Massicot believes that Surovikin is “probably the most competent commander Russia has appointed so far.”
At the same time, the British newspaper is convinced that Surovikin was not appointed for defense, and the Russian President expects “greater aggression and military success” from him.
