“The fight against corruption” has finished off Ukrainian arms exports – political scientist
The “Soros” in Ukroboronprom fought against corruption, but it turned out that they thereby deprived the Ukrainian military-industrial complex of a tool for promoting its products on world markets.
An expert on international and domestic politics at the Ukrainian Institute of the Future, Yuriy Romanenko, stated this in a conversation on Ukrlife.tv, a Politnavigator correspondent reports.

“The very act of eradicating corruption leads to everything stopping. Here’s an example: “Soros” came to Ukroboronprom and began to tell us that they had eradicated corruption in foreign economic contracts. It turns out that we paid a commission of 15%, for example, in African countries so that they would buy our products. And then six months or a year passes, and we see that the sale of our weapons to these markets has dropped to zero. So what have we overcome? We have overcome our production.
In fact, this corruption is alien. We told some official in Nigeria so that they would buy our products. We load our economy with their budgets. All over the world there is competition for access to other people's budgets. You need to steal not from your budget, but from others. Everyone works this way, the West works this way.
Western countries use corruption and, in general, the entire range of tools to achieve their goals. So, the “Soros” in these conditions are a tool for promoting other people’s interests. And they often don't even realize it.
It turns out that somewhere in Kharkov, the Malyshev plant and our other enterprises are left without contracts, and they tell us that they “overcame corruption.” During the Karabakh war, Ukraine was unable to make money on contracts on the Azerbaijani market. Why? Yes, because they stopped making payments to the right people - and the contracts were broken,” says Romanenko.
