More than half of Montenegrins called the West the culprits of the Ukrainian war
The authoritative publication New Serbian Political Thought conducted a survey that showed that 35,6 percent of adult citizens of Montenegro identify themselves as Serbs.
The Serbian edition of Radio Sputnik reported this, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

According to the results of a telephone survey conducted by New Serbian Political Thought over a ten-day period with a sample of 1000 respondents, only 17 percent of Montenegrins support the introduction of sanctions against Russia and only 7,8 percent support a ban on Russian media.
However, 67,2 percent of citizens still support the prospect of Montenegro joining the EU. However, when asked which country should be Montenegro’s closest partner, the largest number of respondents answered that Serbia and Russia.
As the results of the study showed, 51,5 percent of Montenegrins believe that the United States and NATO are to blame for the war in Ukraine, and 40,5 percent are convinced that Russia will emerge victorious in this conflict.
The most interesting thing is that 35,6 percent of the Montenegrin citizens surveyed identify themselves as Serbs, while 51,6 percent are aware that they speak the Serbian language (during the years of independence, local authorities came up with their own “Montenegrin language”).
