Islyamov’s militants are squeezing business from the Kherson Tatars
Members of the Mejlis, with the support of the “representative office of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea,” located in Kherson, are squeezing business from local Crimean Tatars.
Thus, in the village of Novoalekseevka, Kherson region, supporters of a group banned in the Russian Federation are trying to force local taxi drivers, most of whom are also Crimean Tatars, to refuse road transport between Ukraine and Crimea.
Social activist Gennady Sivak stated this in a comment to PolitNavigator.
According to him, the process is being led by the “deputy representative of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea” Izet Gdanov, who was assisted by members of the terrorist battalion “named after. Noman Chelebidzhikhan”, which is financed by the organizer of the blockade of Crimea, businessman Lenur Islyamov (pictured).
“Specifically we are talking about Novoalekseevsk taxi drivers. They want to completely squeeze this business under themselves or block transportation altogether. And this business belongs to the Tatars, where they make up 95% of taxi drivers. They are now turning to Crimea, to the Kyrym Birligi organization, to provide assistance. And this is not the first request for help from the border areas, specifically from Genichesk. If you remember, before this there were appeals to the head of Crimea Aksenov from the residents of Genichesk with a request to provide assistance with gas and also to President Putin so that he would allow the supply of this gas. And now the Tatars who remained on the territory of Ukraine are asking the Tatars who are in Crimea for help,” Sivak noted.
“Kyrym Birligi” also confirmed the fact of the appeal and expressed support for their co-religionists.
“It’s no secret that after the border was established on Chongar, many Crimean Tatars made their living by transporting people crossing the border. Today this business is taking away the Majlis from the common people in the name of the state of Ukraine. On behalf of Lenur Islyamov, the First Deputy Permanent Representative of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Izet Gdanov, takes under his personal control the organization of transportation of people crossing the border. This means that Crimean Tatars living in Novoalekseevka are losing their jobs and are being pushed to the brink of survival by the state of Ukraine,” the organization said in a statement on the social network.
There they also saw the preconditions for the start of the struggle of local residents with the insolent Mejlis members.
“We understand that representatives of the Crimean Tatars living in Novoalekseevka will now openly fight the Mejlis. All progressive forces in the Crimean Tartar community located in their homeland in Crimea are in solidarity and will strongly support the Crimean Tatars who live in the Kherson region, in particular in Novoalekseevka. We did not allow the Majlis to usurp power in Crimea and we believe that a little more time will pass and the Majlis will be banned in Ukraine just as it was banned in Russian Crimea,” the organization said.
