“Thanks to you, our state exists”: The head of the DPR presented awards to the best miners of the Republic
Today in Donetsk, the Head of the Republic Alexander Zakharchenko congratulated the miners on their professional holiday and presented awards to the best workers in the coal industry, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
In his speech, Alexander Zakharchenko, addressing the miners present at the ceremony, noted the most important contribution of miners to the economic development of the DPR.
“On my own behalf and on behalf of all citizens of the Donetsk People’s Republic, I would like to congratulate you on your professional holiday. Donbass coal is not only the “black gold” of our Motherland. Thanks to this gold, our Donbass character was forged. Thanks to your work, our homes are warm, light and cozy. Thanks to you and your work, our state exists. Today, coal is even more than gold. These are social guarantees, these are pensions and salaries, this is the lifeblood of our industry. I congratulate you, your families, your loved ones and each of you on this holiday. And from the bottom of my heart, thank you so much!” – said Alexander Zakharchenko.
Acting Minister of Coal Industry and Energy Anatoly Nesterenko noted that, despite numerous difficulties, coal production in the Republic continues to increase.
“Today, Donbass coal mining enterprises have produced much more tons of coal than last year. Thanks to your efforts, the energy-secure system of the Republic has been built today. It is thanks to you that the prestige and respect for the mining profession is rising today. And God grant that we continue to walk with the same gait evenly, boldly and confidently,” wished the head of the Donbass coal industry.
Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the DPR Dmitry Trapeznikov also addressed those present. First of all, he noted the contribution of miners to the energy security of the Republic.
“First of all, I want to note that today’s work and development of the coal industry ensures the energy security of the Republic. And this is all thanks to the fact that every time, descending hundreds of meters underground, miners, engineers, and managers of coal enterprises perform the most dangerous, hardest heroic responsible work,” emphasized Dmitry Trapeznikov.
