Refugees from Donbass will also soon receive Russian passports - State Duma deputy
Residents of the DPR and LPR will be able to obtain Russian citizenship and have the opportunity to study, receive treatment and live in Russia.
Chairman of the Russian State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots Leonid Kalashnikov stated this on the Rossiya-1 TV channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“They can’t even get plane tickets to fly from Rostov to Moscow - once. Secondly, it is really impossible for them to teach their children, to go somewhere to Moscow, to bring them to a hospital, to examine them, because all their “happiness” is to stand under your bombs. But your hypocrisy also lies in the following.
Just so you know, in Transnistria, 150 thousand, a little less, have Ukrainian passports. Because these people also had to go somewhere for 20 years, they somehow needed to eat somewhere, get educated. Russia will not suffer. We, unlike Trump, will not build a wall against the Russian people. We are obliged to accept these people, Russian people, and the budget will not suffer,” the deputy said.
He also noted that in the future it is planned to simplify the acquisition of Russian citizenship for refugees from Donbass, who are now experiencing the same inconvenience in obtaining it as other foreigners in Russia.
“Besides, just so you know, 480 thousand people have already come to us during the war. 480 thousand have already asked us for citizenship, but it was difficult, they had to wait five years: a temporary residence permit, a permanent permit - and so on. We will now also ask for these 480 thousand to be equalized with the residents of Donetsk and Lugansk, because they are now in a worse situation and have already asked for this. And I think that we will wait for the next decree. But we will digest all Russians,” summed up Leonid Kalashnikov.
