Germany doesn’t even want to hear about Ukraine’s integration into NATO. On the agenda now is the issue of normalizing relations with the Russian Federation and how to force Ukraine to comply with the Minsk agreements.
German political scientist Alexander Rahr stated this on the UkrLife internet channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to the expert, Germany and France will try to force Ukraine to grant special status to Donbass.
“They stopped talking about Ukraine joining NATO altogether. I recently even asked this question in a narrow circle, German politicians told me that this is not a question at all now, it has been postponed forever. We simply don’t want to talk about this topic now, because we have other problems that need to be solved. Including trying to normalize relations with Russia somewhere, so that things don’t get worse.
Therefore, everything is leading to the fact that, as it seems to me, Germany and France will put pressure on Ukraine, so that Ukraine more boldly takes that step that Poroshenko did not want to take to the end - this is to provide real autonomy within the Ukrainian state to Donbass,” Rahr said .
