Belarus called on the CSTO and the CIS to jointly fight “color revolutions” that are developing into hybrid wars
Belarus stands for intensifying interaction within the CIS, CSTO and SCO to counter threats, including the holding of “color revolutions”.
Belarusian Defense Minister Major General Viktor Khrenin announced this today in Moscow at a joint meeting of the heads of defense departments of the CIS, CSTO, and SCO, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

Now certain forces in the West, having failed in their attempt to organize a “color revolution,” are actually moving to forms and methods of waging a hybrid war against the Belarusian state, while using unprecedented measures of diplomatic and political-economic pressure. Today there is a tough struggle to gain information superiority,” says a message on the official website of the Belarusian Ministry of Defense.
According to Khrenin, in recent years, NATO’s rotational force in countries neighboring Belarus has grown 17 times, to 10 thousand troops. In the immediate vicinity of the border of the Belarusian state, there is a concentration of military equipment and personnel, including the US Army. Large-scale multinational exercises of NATO member countries are taking place, the number of which has increased 5-fold this year alone.
“We are forced to develop military response measures, as we demonstrated during the planned combat training events that were carried out in close proximity to the borders with NATO in August of this year,” Khrenin said.
