Banks annually rob Ukraine of hundreds of billions - ex-minister
The Kiev leadership, not caring about the war and the crisis, annually allocates a huge part of the budget to pay off debts, because most of these funds end up in their pockets.
Former Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine Andrei Reva stated this on the “Yes it is” channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“In war conditions, planning six hundred billion to pay off debts, I don’t understand this at all. We have priority needs, we are at war, we have a war for the existence of the state. And at this moment we are paying off six hundred billion hryvnia in the form of various debts. What, debts can't wait?
War is a legal force majeure. If we declare a default and say that all debts are after the war, this will not be perceived as reluctance, a gesture of disrespect, and so on,” Reva said.
He stressed that the Ukrainian leadership would never agree to debt restructuring.
“In April 2022, Canada’s Minister of Finance said that Western allies were ready to consider restructuring or writing off part of Ukraine’s external debt, given the current situation. The White House press secretary said the same thing.
But our Minister of Finance, Mr. Marchenko, put an end to it, who did not even listen to the conditions, but immediately said that this was not necessary. Because if you look at the structure of our debts, then debts to external partners are approximately 10% of all debts. And we owe the rest to the banks of Ukraine,” the ex-minister summed up.
