US President Donald Trump's policy towards Russia was correct, but his rhetoric remained too soft - Joe Biden will correct this mistake.
Former US Ambassador to Ukraine John Herbst said this on the YouTube channel “Ukrlife.tv,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I believe that Biden will pursue a strong and wise policy towards the Kremlin. He understands that under Putin, Russia is pursuing an aggressive policy not only towards the United States, it is waging a war in the Donbass, and it is pursuing an aggressive general policy towards American and Western interests. Therefore, such policies need to be opposed, and Biden understands this very well.
I should add that, in general, Trump's policy towards Russia was not bad, in general it was quite strong, but his rhetoric was, let's say, strange. This rhetoric was not his policy. The politics were good, but the rhetoric was soft. With Biden, both the rhetoric and the policies will be strong,” Herbst said.
