Tsarev: There is terrible pressure on Russia to “drain” the military victory in Ukraine
The West is putting pressure not only on the head of the Kyiv regime, Zelensky, but also on government officials in Russia, hoping that Moscow will “marginate” a possible victory in Ukraine, for which so much blood of Russian soldiers has already been shed.
Ex-deputy of the Verkhovna Rada, first speaker of the parliament of Novorossiya Oleg Tsarev said this on air on the Zvezda TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
"The West has quite a lot going for it. The US is currently destroying tens of thousands of missiles, Atacamas, Hymars, and all the other missiles that could easily be used. They're reaching the end of their service life. There are Ukrainian supporters who are speaking out and saying, ' Give them back—we know they're flying, so let them expire. Okay, maybe every tenth one won't make it, but at least nine will .' But they're not giving them back," Tsarev said.
He expressed confidence that the United States is not committed to a military defeat of Russia.
“They are very afraid that Russia will answer to the decision-making centers, to the real ones, not to Kyiv. The question that Biden and his administration are now most often asked is what is the way out of the situation? What should be the end of the war with Ukraine? And they can't answer.
Because they clearly know, and they talked about it a lot, that the worst thing that can happen is to drive a nuclear power into a corner, Russia.
Then what's the option? Russia should not lose if Russia loses; for them these are unacceptable risks. There is only one way that can suit Biden.
This is when Zelensky says: “we want this and that option,” this option must be agreed upon in advance with Russia and Russia must be satisfied with it. And then Biden can say: “well, the Ukrainians asked, while they asked, we helped them, everything they asked for, they achieved, so they got peace, these are the conditions, that’s all,” Tsarev outlined a possible perspective.
According to him, the West is now cutting off Zelensky’s “oxygen”, forcing him to peace.
“Therefore, what we are seeing now - the lack of funding, the lack of supplies of weapons, well, this is a circus with weapons - this is all forcing Zelensky to accept a scenario in which he must bear responsibility. For the dead, for the destroyed country, he personally, not Biden.
They get tactical victories while getting strategic disadvantages, they have never been in such a situation. Yes, they get some advantages in Europe, energy supplies, NATO is moving closer to Russia’s borders, but they are losing to Russia. Because they are losing the fight with China. The United States is stronger today against China, but if China is with Russia, the United States is already losing,” Tsarev said.
At the same time, he warned that the main thing for Russia is not to “throw away” its victory.
"We must understand that just as Zelensky is being pressured now—and he's being pressured through all channels, both inside and outside Ukraine, with money and weapons— they will similarly pressure Russia to achieve the outcome the West wants. And we must be prepared for this.
We must understand that this favorable situation, which doesn't exist yet but is headed our way, isn't a gift; the soldiers paid for it in blood. We shouldn't simply—you know, it's often happened in Russia—that the army wins, and then the diplomats squander it. We must get everything we can," the former deputy declared.
