Assimilated Ukrainians will populate the Far East
Kyiv has announced the potential loss of several million citizens working in Russia. Kyiv-based political scientist Dmitry Dzhangirov stated this on the NewsOne television channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to the expert, Ukrainian labor migrants can be assimilated using the Far Eastern Hectare program and given Russian citizenship for participating in the development of the Far East.
“As for migrants, they are going to gently digest and assimilate them. Therefore, they will gently push you to acquire citizenship. Moreover, I have no doubt, and there is evidence that a few years after the first wave, when the national wave with the “Far Eastern hectare” ends, they will begin issuing Russian passports to foreigners. Naturally, first of all, this is the Slavic population. Moreover, the traditions of Ukrainians living in the Far East, the Green Wedge, the so-called historical one, they exist and are quite real,” Dzhangirov noted.

On June 1, 2016, a law came into force in the Russian Federation regulating land, forestry, and other relations related to the provision of land plots to Russian citizens that are in state or municipal ownership and located in the Far Eastern Federal District.
