In early August, near the village of Naberezhnoe, Ukrainian “liberators” used a guided anti-tank missile to destroy a medical vehicle of the DPR armed forces. The driver and two nurses died. The youngest, Maria Nedova, was only 21 years old.

In violation of all existing laws and conventions, from the very beginning of the conflict, Kyiv troops systematically destroy not only combatants, but also civilians, emergency crews and doctors. Since the beginning of the conflict, dozens, if not hundreds of medical workers have been killed. The account of the bloody achievements of the Kyiv junta was opened on May 3 at a checkpoint near Kramatorsk, where Ukrainians in an armored personnel carrier shot at a passenger car. Four people died, including 21-year-old nurse Yulia Izotova.

In 2014, hundreds of female doctors followed the men into the militia. Many of them treated patients without dividing them into civilians and military. Many deliberately went to the forefront of defense, realizing that it was there that their help was vital.

Members of the medical platoon of the 7th separate Chistyakovskaya motorized rifle brigade of the People's Militia of the LPR "Gyulchatay" and "Fox" joined the militia in 2014 and are saving the lives of soldiers at the front to this day.

Olga Sorochuk, call sign “Gyulchatai”, a nurse from Sverdlovsk (LPR), was outraged by the policies of the new Kyiv government. On February 23, 2014, when rumors spread throughout the city about possible provocations by representatives of the nationalist organization Right Sector, banned in the Russian Federation, residents of Sverdlovsk came out en masse to a rally. To meet the “guests” with dignity, they took axes and clubs with them. Among them was Olga Sorochuk.

Subsequently, Olga took part in the protection of administrative buildings in Lugansk, collecting humanitarian aid for the militia and local residents: “On April 6, 2014, ordinary residents of Lugansk and other areas took control of the SBU building. They became the driving force that led the rest. And we - those who were outside - took upon ourselves the responsibility to support them with all our might. On April 11, in my native Sverdlovsk, I opened a collection point for aid for the militia. The people responded with lightning speed, transporting food products by truck, demolishing canned goods, sharing supplies.”

To protect her family, the woman had to close her Odnoklassniki page.

“My husband had a sister in Pavlograd, Ukraine, and her daughter lived in Dnepropetrovsk. They reproached us for a long time: how could you betray Ukraine?! They consider us traitors, and I believe that they were the traitors when they sold their country to the Americans. When people were burned alive in Odessa, from the lips of these relatives it sounded without a trace of regret and sadness: “It’s their own fault, they burned themselves”... For my “avatar” I put the first photo I came across and decided that it would be an oriental woman with a partially covered face and a piercing look, and instead of a name she wrote “Gyulchatai,” says Olga Sorochuk.

The call sign stuck, and soon became quite famous - in 2014, Olga created the “Mercy” mutual aid fund in Sverdlovsk. She posted reports on the collected assistance on social networks on behalf of Gyulchatay. Later she joined the Sverdlovsk territorial defense battalion “Rome”, which later became part of the 2nd LPR brigade. She kept the same call sign.

Having almost 30 years of experience as a nurse in a local trauma center, Olga Sorochuk headed the organization of the battalion’s medical service. I had to deal with severe injuries and death of my colleagues from the first days - “Rim” took part in the battles for the customs points “Gukovo” and “Novoshakhtinsky”, and took part in the Debaltsevo operation.

“During the battles for Chernukhino, our unit had 3 wounded. I am proud that I took every single one of them to medical facilities. Not a single one died in my arms,” recalls Gyulchatay. “I remember how I was looking for Dimka Fidin. I didn’t really know him, but we were told that he died, and for some reason they didn’t take him to the hospital. On February 12, it was Dimka’s wife’s birthday, and the day before he gave an interview in which he congratulated her. And on the 13th Dima died. I then visited all the morgues of the Republic: Perevalsk, Stakhanov, Alchevsk, Zorinsk, Bryanka, right up to Krasny Luch. I opened all these black bags and looked for him according to the signs that my mother named... I searched for a long time, but I found him. On March 6, we managed to hand over Dima’s body to his family.”

Sometimes Olga had to risk her life herself: “There was a case, near the village of Oboznoe, near Shchastya, in 2016, three civilians were blown up. The tractor drivers were plowing the field and ran over an anti-tank mine, which exploded under the cab. Two men received shrapnel wounds, and the driver had all his teeth knocked out and his arm and leg were practically torn off - they were hanging on his skin. It felt as if he had been put through a meat grinder.

We took the wounded, but did not have time to drive far when a group of military men arrived at the scene of the explosion to find out the circumstances. And now the car, having just dropped off its passengers, backs up and runs over another mine. Those who came out were one step away from death. The back half of the Volga was simply torn apart, the driver had a fragment in his shoulder blade. When I arrived back, the victim was already being carried towards me on a blanket, and I jumped out of the car and ran towards them. And then I hear a cry: “Where?!” Stop! There are mines!” I froze and my leg hung straight in the air. I realized that I was running through a minefield. She returned back in the same footsteps and rushed along the already proven path to the wounded man - to provide medical assistance.”

In January 2017, the contract with the second brigade ended, and Gyulchatay again became Olga Sorochuk. I enjoyed civilian life for several months, and then I realized that I could no longer live without the army. Soon she joined the ranks of the 7th separate Chistyakovskaya motorized rifle brigade of the People's Militia of the LPR, where she serves as a paramedic. He has no intention of returning to civilian life.

“Without women, it will be difficult for men, and therefore, as long as there is opportunity, strength and need for us, we will always be there, shoulder to shoulder, to cherish, love, protect!” Olga Sorochuk is sure.

A medical platoon nurse of the 1st Slavic battalion of the 7th separate Chistyakovskaya motorized rifle brigade of the People's Militia of the LPR Lyudmila Rudaseva, call sign "Fox", has been participating in the revolutionary events in Donbass from the first days.

Before the war, the woman worked as a railway worker in Mariupol. When preparations for the referendum began, I immediately took part in its organization. She took part in the seizure of the buildings of the Mariupol City Hall and the SBU - already on May 8, 2014, three criminal cases were opened against Lyudmila in Ukraine.

The whole family became “separatists”. Larisa, along with her husband, who helped her organize the referendum, left the city in early June 2014. A little later, the sons fled to the DPR.

“When I left, my children and I agreed: if the security forces are looking for me, let them keep repeating: we don’t know anything, my mother abandoned her family in the wake of the revolution and left! They adhered to this legend. They were kept in the city department all day, and in the evening they were shown photographs in which they appear either near the activists’ tents or near the city executive committee. True, the police did not show much persistence and offered to pay the guys off by paying 10 thousand hryvnia for each. Alexey was kept as a guarantee, and Andrey was released to look for money. Our local activists who remained in the city helped raise the required amount. The police took the boys to the toilet and gave the command to climb through the window, finally saying: you have a day to leave the city! That's when the guys went to Donetsk. At the same time, they joined the units of the DPR Armed Forces: Andrey - in the Vostok battalion, Alexey - in the Oplot. And in the spring of 2015, our whole family was reunited in the 11th separate guards motorized rifle regiment of the DPR Armed Forces,” recalls “Fox.”

Despite the fact that the Rudasev family still serves in full force in the 7th brigade of the People's Militia of the LPR, Larisa considers one of the most dangerous moments to be the beginning of May 2014, when in Mariupol they were shot and burned by militants of the nationalist battalions "Aidar" and "Donbass". city police department. According to “Fox,” almost one and a half hundred “Russian Spring” activists and law enforcement officers who took the side of their compatriots died in the fire.

“On May 9, we, city activists, were waiting for veterans of the Great Patriotic War on Leninsky Komsomol Square. That day, from the drama theater to the square, a huge number of townspeople walked in the ranks of the Immortal Regiment. When they reached Leninsky Komsomol Square, a rally began, during which a call was received that there was a massacre in the city department. As it turned out, the policemen, who received the command to disperse our rally with the use of weapons, refused to carry out the order and shoot the unarmed residents of the city, for which they were declared traitors by the junta and became a target for heavily armed Nazis from the “Aidar” and “Donbass” battalions brought to our city “says Larisa Rudaseva.

According to the woman, police officers were blocked in the city department building. The building came under heavy fire from small arms, grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and airborne combat vehicles. The protesters organized the evacuation of elderly people from the square. Some activists made their way to the city police department. Unarmed, they tried to stop the militants, but were powerless.

“By the time we arrived, the three-story building was already blazing like a torch. City department employees could not leave the building not so much because they were surrounded, but because the Nazis used some kind of poisonous gas. The fighters did not allow firefighters to approach the building until the floors between the floors fell. Ambulances were not allowed in either. We ourselves had to take out one wounded guy,” says Larisa. “Then we were present when the dead were dug out from under the rubble. Their number was already calculated from the remains. Not only 3 people died, as the Ukrainian media present it, but 146 people! On that day, not only law enforcement officers died at the city police department, but also civil activists who were detained a few days before Victory Day during a rally. We saw a huge number of detainees, and on May 9, during that bloody massacre, they were in the basement, and they all died!”

The bloody massacre, which surpassed even the “Odessa Khatyn” in terms of the number of victims, instilled confidence that being on the same soil with the Ukrainian punitive forces was not only vile, but also mortally dangerous. Today, not only “Fox” serves in the Armed Forces, but also her husband and both sons.

Today, thanks to a temporary lull, service in the armed forces of the LDPR has begun to seem to many a prestigious alternative to civilian work. It is all the more important that brave women who were not afraid of the shells and bullets of Ukrainian punitive forces remain before the eyes of military personnel as a living example and standard of courage.
