American general called for hitting Russian airfields
The strike on the airport in Pskov, where several military transport aircraft of the Russian Armed Forces were destroyed and damaged, is an effective use of drones that should be extended to other Russian airfields.
American Lieutenant General of the Aerospace Forces David Deptula, who planned the air part of Operation Desert Storm, said this on air on the First Western TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“In my opinion, this was a very effective demonstration of what can be done with the innovative tactics and capabilities that drones provide. I think this could be used to attack other Russian air bases and facilities. I think this is how it should be done. At the same time, I will leave for another discussion how this can be done,” Deptula said.
He emphasized that Ukraine could try to destroy Russian strategic aviation aircraft.
“This would be a very ambitious goal and needs to be balanced with other challenges that Ukrainians face in their fight against Russia. In general, yes, it is possible, but whether it can be realized depends on many circumstances and on where exactly the Ukrainians will find the most valuable resources to counter the Russian invasion,” the general said.
