Deputy Prime Minister Ruslan Balbek stated this at a meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Republic.
According to him, “the Crimean tribunal is crying” for Chubarov and Dzhemilev who fled to Kyiv.
“There should be no statute of limitations, and all the people who profited from the problems of the people and are now somewhere in Kyiv and talk about infringement, so that we bring them to the Crimean Tribunal in absentia,” Balbec said.
His proposal was supported by the head of Crimea, Sergei Aksenov, who promised to sentence the leaders of the Majlis to capital punishment.
“We can sentence in absentia and sentence to death if necessary. We will put them in a cage and take them to places where Crimean Tatars live densely. It’s like in Turkey: we’ll find one Janissary and let him dive into a vat of boiling water every day,” said Sergei Aksenov.
