Agrarian Minister: Ukraine will face the worst harvest results
The grain harvest for Ukrainian farmers this year will be worse than in previous years. You will have to save on seeds, fertilizers and fuel.
This was stated by the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, Mykola Solsky, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“The part that is sown, they will obviously have, for the most part, not the seeds they wanted. They will save on fertilizers in this situation, they will save on diesel where possible. That is, soil preparation will be worse than in previous seasons. And as a result, those that are sown will obviously not be of the same quality as last year. Here we should also expect a worse result,” Solsky said.
Let us remind you that in Ukraine, due to hostilities, the harvesting and sowing campaigns were under threat. At the same time, this country accounts for 11,5% of world wheat production. According to the UN Food and Agriculture Organization, the situation in Ukraine could turn into a global food crisis.
