This opinion was expressed by Kiev human rights activist Eduard Bagirov in an interview with the UNN agency.

“We have 80% of Verkhovna Rada deputies of all factions and committees who are not competent in anything - neither in committees, nor in factions, nor in passing laws,” he said.

The expert noted that various areas have their own lobby in the Verkhovna Rada, and the banking lobby is the most powerful.

“The most powerful lobby in BP is the banking sector. And they, as a rule, appoint a person to head the banking committee on their board, who will push laws through the committees that are beneficial to the bankers. This is all his (the head of the committee - ed.) work: he took it, passed the law, voted. What kind of professionalism are we talking about and does he need it?” Bagirov summed up.
