The West sees no point in negotiations with Poroshenko: He does not want to stop the war
Because of his idle talk, Poroshenko is losing trust among Western partners. Ukrainian political expert and human rights activist Vladimir Chemeris stated this on the NewsOne TV channel.
According to him, Poroshenko is no longer “on topic” among Western politicians and is not invited to meetings.

“When President Poroshenko says something to Western leaders, he says that there is no alternative to the Minsk format. Meanwhile, in Ukraine, the “Minsk agreements” have been put on pause. They were installed a long time ago. Our government - the president and the government are taking virtually no steps to promote the Minsk agreements, which could end this war and return Donbass to Ukraine. He doesn't offer anything else. Therefore, the new French president, like President Trump, and, perhaps, the new German chancellor, who will be in the fall, they no longer perceive our president as a person with whom they can talk and negotiate. Therefore, we see a meeting first with Putin, we see contradictory statements by the new Trump administration, we see that to a large extent Poroshenko, as they say, is off topic... He is not invited to any meeting,” Chemeris said.
