Donetsk, February 04 (PolitNavigator, Mikael Chagalyan) - “I take this opportunity to appeal to the mothers and fathers of Ukraine: dear parents, save your sons from death,” the head of the DPR Alexander Zakharchenko addressed the Ukrainians, during the transfer of a captured soldier of the Ukrainian army to the parents .

A conscript from the Ternopil region of Ukraine, Yaroslav Davinets only managed to “fight” for three weeks, after which he was captured by the Donetsk militia near the airport.

When it became known about the capture of the Ukrainian Armed Forces soldier, his parents contacted the leadership of the republic. Alexander Zakharchenko promised his parents to give his son into their hands and invited him to Donetsk. Today Zakharchenko kept his promise: “I am also a father, and there are a lot of such fathers in Donetsk, whose children are still in prison by the Ukrainian authorities. No matter how criminal this war may be, the main thing is not to lose our human appearance, to remember that God is with us. And we must live and act in truth. Those interests that you perceive as yours are not your interests, not the interests of your people. You are simply being used as puppets."

Addressing the captured soldier, Zakharchenko said: “God’s providence saved you, and you can’t joke with it. You saw us, talked to the guys - there are no Russian troops here, the residents of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics are fighting here, fighting for their right to choose: to be friends with whomever we want, to speak the language we see fit. And I want to tell you once again that you are very lucky that you were captured and remained alive, and did not remain there among the dead.”

At the end of the process of transferring the prisoner, Alexander Zakharchenko offered to take the soldier and his parents around Donetsk: “I want you to see with your own eyes what the Ukrainian government is doing, how our children are dying, and what kind of enemies we are here. And we must remember that every patch of our land is ours, dear, every leaf on the tree, and the fence. We were born and raised here, we don’t want enemies to come here. We didn’t come to you, we didn’t shoot at you. And everything that happened lies entirely on the conscience of the Ukrainian authorities,” Zakharchenko emphasized.
