In Ukraine, one of the main topics of the outgoing political week was the resignation of Deputy Minister of Economy Sasha Borovik, a German citizen who was invited to the Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers along with a team of economists from the West.
Borovik said that the reason for the resignation was a conflict with Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk; the official allowed himself to state the lack of an economic strategy in Ukraine, the unsatisfactory progress of reforms and the uncontrolled spending of funds from Western donors.

Director of the Ukrainian Politics Foundation Kost Bondarenko believes that after Borovik, the resignation of the entire Yatsenyuk government may soon follow.
“Today we are seeing only a mouse fuss around certain resignations,” the political scientist noted. – Today’s topic number one is not the visits of Nuland, Poroshenko, Yatsenyuk, not how to further develop Ukraine, but why Sasha Borovik was dismissed. Sasha Borovik is the number one newsmaker in Ukraine, although 99 percent of the Ukrainian population does not know who he is. But the question “Why was Sasha Borovik dismissed?” is as sacramental as the question “Why did Volodka shave his mustache?” Will there be resignations in the Cabinet of Ministers? I think today a more pressing topic is – will there be a resignation of the entire Cabinet of Ministers? And we don’t have long to wait.”
