Armed Forces soldiers are maimed and killed by their own mines, without waiting for the offensive of the LPR
Panic and confusion in anticipation of the offensive of the LPR defenders leads to many non-combat losses in the Ukrainian Armed Forces units.
The official representative of the LPR People's Militia, Yakov Osadchiy, spoke about this at a briefing, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“In connection with the current situation, the command of the OTG “North”, fearing the intensification of the actions of the People’s Militia to move the contact line from populated areas and critically important objects of the republic, ordered to intensify mining of the area. For these purposes, mining groups from the 25rd mine clearance center of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were sent to the units of the 93th and 143rd brigades,” Osadchiy said.
At the same time, according to him, the ignorance of the personnel of these formations about the location of new minefields led to further non-combat losses.
“So, in four days, three militants were killed by anti-personnel mines, and five more received mine-explosive injuries of varying severity, including amputation of limbs,” said a representative of the defense department.
