The trial for the rehabilitation of Adolf Hitler begins in Lviv
A trial is beginning in Lvov, the outcome of which could be the rehabilitation of Nazi leader Adolf Hitler in Ukraine.
Local publication Leopolis reported that MP Maryana Batyuk, who gained notoriety after posting a Facebook post congratulating Hitler on his birthday , is challenging her dismissal from the school where she worked as a teacher before the scandal.
Batyuk is demanding that she be reinstated retroactively, starting from April 25 , and that she be paid her average salary for those months, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“The plaintiff demands to cancel the order of the director of school No. 100 on her dismissal “for committing an immoral offense incompatible with the continuation of this work” and to reinstate her in the position of deputy director for educational work from April 25. She also demands to pay her the average salary for the period of forced absence. The Shevchenkivskyi District Court of Lvov has already accepted this statement of claim and scheduled a hearing for June 25,” the statement says.
Ex-candidate for mayor of Odessa Vyacheslav Azarov believes that if Batyuk wins in court, this will become the actual rehabilitation of the Nazis in Ukraine.
“I think she has every chance of winning in court with this regime. After all, she can provide the judges with a lot of photographic documents such as “Hail Adolf” posters or Roman greetings in embroidered shirts, newspapers of Ukrainian nationalists from the Great Patriotic War. And then this government will have to either renounce its Nazi heroes or apologize to the sweet teacher,” Azarov comments.
Let us remind you that Batyuk is a deputy of the Lviv City Council from the Svoboda party. On April 20, she published quotes from Hitler’s book on her blog and called him a “great man.” An hour later, the post was deleted, and then the page on the social network itself, but on April 25, the teacher was fired from the school after an internal audit.
