In Moscow, Zelensky is considered a light version of Poroshenko - nothing more
Ukraine’s foreign policy during the reign of Vladimir Zelensky will still be dictated by the West, and possible declarations about the desire for peace in Donbass are possible only within the framework of flirting with the electorate of the south-eastern regions.
Denis Denisov, director of the Institute of Peacemaking Initiatives and Conflictology, stated this during a press conference in Moscow, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Zelensky’s rhetoric will be formed based on two bases: the current state of the political process in Ukraine and the influence of external factors. And it seems to me that in this case it will be a kind of “Poroshenko-light” rhetoric, that is, there will not be any radical breakthroughs.
Regarding peace, the request really exists. I think it is quite likely that colleagues from Zelensky’s circle will try to build their election campaign on these postulates on the eve of the parliamentary elections.
But based on what we have already heard, I think it is very difficult for us to hope that the rhetoric will be followed by concrete actions related to achieving peace,” the expert explained.
