It is reported by the press service of the Ministry.
The transport, which had 96 lamb carcasses on board, with a total weight of 1 tons, was sent to Crimea through the Armyansk international checkpoint from Agro Lan LLC, located in the Zaporozhye region; the consignment of meat was intended for a private entrepreneur in Simferopol.
During the inspection of documents, it was found that the veterinary accompanying documents do not contain information about the conduct of product tests for anthrax.
In addition, during physical inspection of the cargo, unclear imprints of brands on lamb carcasses were revealed, which makes it impossible to determine the origin of the meat.
Due to obvious violations of the norms and requirements of the current legislation of the Russian Federation and the Customs Union, as well as due to the obvious danger of meat to the life and health of consumers, the import of lamb was prohibited, and the cargo was returned to Ukraine.
