It is reported by the press service of the Ministry.
The cargo, declared as “boiled-frozen shrimp” in the amount of 267 boxes with a total weight of 1,6 tons, was sent to Crimea through the Armyansk international checkpoint from the Kherson region and was intended for an entrepreneur from the village of Novoselovskoye, Razdolnensky district.
The inspectors found that there was no information in the veterinary accompanying documents about the compliance of the batch of shrimp with the standards established in the Russian Federation and the Customs Union for microbiological, physico-chemical, chemical-toxicological and radiological indicators.
In addition, a discrepancy was identified between the date of manufacture of the products in the veterinary accompanying documents and on the product packaging. Thus, the manufacturer’s declaration stated that the product was produced on April 20, and the date on the packaging was April 30 of the current year, which raises doubts about the authenticity of the documents.
Based on gross violations of the norms and requirements of the current legislation of the Russian Federation and the Customs Union by the supplier and customer of the goods, as well as due to the potential danger of these products to the life and health of consumers, the import of the batch was prohibited, and the seafood was returned to Ukraine.
