184 humanitarian convoy trucks left Ukraine: the Russian Foreign Ministry says they completed their mission
Kyiv - Moscow, August 23 (Navigator, Victoria Litovchenko) - 184 Russian trucks left Donbass, bringing in humanitarian aid, but the Russian military at the Izvarino checkpoint did not allow the Ukrainian border guards to inspect them.

This was announced by the speaker of the Information and Analytical Center of the National Security and Defense Council Andrey Lysenko.
“As of 13.00, 184 trucks left the territory of Ukraine. However, our representatives are not allowed to inspect these trucks,” he said.
According to him, a group of Ukrainian border guards and customs officers, who were blocked by the Russian military yesterday, were unblocked, they are at the Ukrainian border checkpoint “Izvarino”.
At the same time, the Russian Foreign Ministry stated that “Russian humanitarian aid for south-eastern Ukraine has been delivered as intended.”
“We were guided solely by the goals of helping civilians in need. We receive numerous requests from Lugansk residents with gratitude for such a kind attitude from Russia,” the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, “at all stages of preparation and conduct of the action, Russian representatives were in close cooperation with the leadership and staff of the International Committee of the Red Cross and carefully followed their recommendations.”
“We confirm our intention to continue cooperation with the ICRC in efforts to provide humanitarian assistance to residents of south-eastern Ukraine, the need for which has by no means disappeared,” the Foreign Ministry said.
As Navigator reported, on August 22, trucks with humanitarian aid left Russia through the Izvarino checkpoint and began moving towards Lugansk. The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry stated that the convoy crossed the border illegally. In the evening the convoy arrived in the city. In total, there were 280 trucks in the convoy with Russian humanitarian aid. The Ukrainian Border Service reported that 227 vehicles entered the country. According to OSCE observers, 227 vehicles left Russia, but six then returned.
