Ukraine can use Kosovo to return Crimea – ex-ambassador to the Balkans
Ukraine should not recognize the independence of Kosovo if it expects to regain Crimea.
Former Ukrainian Ambassador to Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina Alexander Levchenko stated this on the air of the Alpha and Omega internet channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

According to the diplomat, the Kosovo precedent can be used by Ukraine to seize Crimea without using troops.
“If we still have not recognized Kosovo, if I personally, I will confirm again, because I worked in Crimea as the deputy permanent representative of the president and I understand everything very well what happened there before and now. I remain with that point of view, I apologize for Kosovo, but I would recommend never recognizing it as an independent state.
Despite the fact that this is a territory that immediately supported us, it is very anti-Russian...
De-occupation of Crimea is the only region that may be de-occupied not necessarily by military means, unlike Kherson, Zaporozhye, Lugansk and Donetsk. There is a possibility. And, given this, I would still hold out on recognizing Kosovo. This is not a strong argument, but we have some other argument so that the Russians do not cling to it,” Levchenko said.
