On the anniversary of the German occupation, Poroshenko threatens with a “bloody battle to the Don”
Celebrations took place in the center of Kyiv today on the occasion of the new date of Border Guard Day approved by Petro Poroshenko - now it will be celebrated on the anniversary of the occupation of the eastern lands of the Yekaterinoslav province (Donbass) by German occupation forces and the forces of the puppet UPR.
Poroshenko said that the celebration of Border Guard Day, according to Soviet tradition, is “someone else’s history.” Ukrainian propaganda now interprets the arrival of occupation troops in Donbass in 1918 and the establishment of UPR border pillars there as the first fixation of the “internationally recognized borders of Ukraine.”
At the celebrations in the center of Kyiv today, awards were presented to border guards and ATO fighters, and there were also reviews of “amusing regiments” of cadets in outfits from the UPR era.
“Today it finally sounded over Hagia Sophia: “We will stand, brothers, in a bloody battle from Xiang to Don, we will not let anyone dominate in our native land.” Ukrainian border guards have broken away from the Soviet past. I am proud of my involvement in this process. From now on, the day of the State Border Service of Ukraine is April 30. I hope that the case of Vladimir Sikevich (Colonel of the UPR Army in 1918, who commanded the campaign against Donbass - ed.) will be completed soon!” said Vasily Pavlov, adviser to the presidential administration.
