Tymchuk launched a fake story about the mass poisoning of infants by Russian humanitarian aid
Ukrainian media circulated a statement by Ukrainian Armed Forces propagandist Dmitry Timchuk (better known as the “talking helmet”) about children aged 6 months to 1.5 years admitted to the Vishnevsky hospital in Donetsk with severe food poisoning, allegedly due to poor-quality food from Russian humanitarian aid.
The head physician of the infectious diseases department of the Vishnevsky Hospital, Elena Baun, in an interview with the Union channel, said that the information disseminated by Ukrainola is implausible.

“Today, the number of cases of intestinal infection among children under the age of one year does not exceed the incidence rate that we record every year. When collecting anamnesis, the parents did not have a single case of mentioning the fact that they consumed dairy products delivered to us through humanitarian means. Often this is unboiled water and failure to comply with basic personal hygiene rules,” said Baun.
Alexander Avdeev, deputy of the National Assembly of the DPR, chairman of the health care committee, explained the purpose of the disinformation launched by the Ukrainian media, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Ukraine uses such statements with the aim of “switching the clock” in order to divert the attention of its residents to the problems of others. For example, to divert attention from the mass poisoning of children in Berdyansk, Lvov, Kyiv, as well as from outbreaks of botulism in the country. If Ukrainian products do not enter the territory of the DPR, it means that all products in the Republic are of poor quality. And Russia, allegedly, even more so, imports products that are simply unnecessary for itself,” Avdeev said.
