This was stated at a press conference in Kyiv by the director of the Agency for Social Communications, Sergei Belashko, according to whom, Ukraine is facing institutional degradation.”
“The police reform is taking place, but in the end it turns out that there are selfies - they are in new uniforms, bulletproof vests, on Priuses, and so on, but there is no police as an institution,” the expert emphasized. “If a citizen has a problem, it remains unresolved, since beautiful selfies in Priuses cannot help.”
“I recently watched in Mariinsky Park how three homeless people were driven away from the fountain by 17 police officers - I specifically counted them. Imagine the resource efficiency and efficiency of these police officers. Although one would be enough for the work there. Moreover, these policemen have already been pushed with sticks. That is, 17 people are forced to use special means to drive three homeless people away from the fountain,” Belashko added.
