The US could be drawn into a war with Russia in the Black Sea - American Colonel
The US could be drawn into a conflict with Russia in the Black Sea if it decides to send its ships to the region.
Retired US Army Colonel Douglas MacGregor, a planner of several major military campaigns, stated this on the air of the Strategic Insights Hub internet channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

According to McGregor, Russia is very sensitive to NATO maneuvers in the Black Sea region and will respond harshly to attempts to harm it.
“If we try to send warships into the Black Sea, they will be under very, very close surveillance. And if they get too close to something vital to the Russians, the Russians will act. The bad news is that many Russians are very angry with us. I'm really, really worried that they're salivating at the thought of hurting us.
After all, we sent hundreds of tanks and armored fighting vehicles, and millions of rounds of ammunition designed to kill the Russians. So I think the danger is very real. If we are not careful, we could find ourselves embroiled in a war with Russia in the Black Sea,” McGregor said.
