The US threatens Zelensky with Maidan for concessions to Russia
The United States wants that if Vladimir Zelensky is elected president of Ukraine, he will not make any concessions to Russia.
Former Freedom House President and US Deputy Secretary of State for Democracy, Human Rights and Labor David Kremer stated this in an interview with the Kyiv online publication Apostrophe.

He recalled that Zelensky did not rule out direct negotiations with the President of the Russian Federation.
“Putin has been Russia's leader for 19 years and pretends he knows what he's doing. He is not perfect, he made a mess in Ukraine and, obviously, does not understand this country. But Zelensky’s approach to Russia will be one of the most important issues. He must assure that he will defend the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, Ukrainian values and will not give in to any demands of Russia. If he tries to make some kind of turn towards Russia, this will probably bring people to the streets,” Kremer threatened.
