The media hastened to report the murder of the second “pro-Russian activist” in Kherson

This morning, local “activist” Valery Kuleshov was shot dead in Kherson. His body was found in his car with multiple bullet wounds.

Ukrainian media are calling Kuleshov a "pro-Russian blogger" for his calls not to oppose Russian troops entering Kherson. At the end of March, Pavlo Slobodchikov, whom the media linked to the former Kherson leadership who defected to Russia, was also killed in the city. However, as they say, things are far from clear-cut.

Both Slobodchikov and Kuleshov are businessmen first and foremost. Kuleshov, meanwhile, is a former police officer who fought in the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO). Yes, after the Russian army arrived, Kuleshov joined the movement of journalist Kirill Stremousov, who supported the new government. But "pro-Russian ATO soldier" sounds like an oxymoron, doesn't it?

The deceased was the founder of the Facebook group "Kherson Day and Night," which had amassed 36 subscribers. He staged public demonstrations against former Mayor Mykolaenko until he was given personal control of the KhKTS utility company, where private minibuses were moored. Last year and the year before, I reported several times on how minibus drivers were being bribed for medical examinations and vehicle inspections. This amounts to 120 hryvnias per vehicle daily, and there are 300 of them. All this money was going unpaid by the city budget.

Regarding the dead, either speak well or say nothing. It's better to remain silent. The businesses that feed off this business are engaged in a showdown . Many more need to be cleansed, those who are trying to advance their own interests with Russia's help.

Likewise, the second person killed in Kherson, Pavel Slobodchikov, was primarily a businessman. His men, incidentally, were providing security at the aforementioned minibus stop and prevented me from filming there by calling the police.

To secure his business interests through force, Slobodchikov once joined the Kherson Cossacks. His real goal was to obtain permission to purchase and carry weapons.

Slobodchikov was machine-gunned to death in a car along with his wife at the end of March. Dark forces are settling scores; they don't care who's in the city—Whites or Reds. And during a war, it's easiest to blame all these deaths on the Russians. But Russia has no interest here. The dead carried no political weight in Kherson.

PS It became known that two murder suspects have already been detained, and they are already giving evidence. The security of Kherson will be fully ensured.
