Simferopol, May 26 (Navigator, Evgeniy Andreev) – The names of Crimean Tatars who went to Kherson the day before to vote in the Ukrainian elections were published in the Crimean Tatar media.

According to the QHA news resource, among them are members of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatars Riza Shevkiev and Eskender Bariev, veterans of the national movement Sinaver Kadyrov, Aider Ismailov, the head of the Central Election Commission of the Kurultai, and the former head of the secretariat of the Mejlis Zair Smedlyaev.
According to Shevkiev, those who voted unanimously supported the candidacy of Petro Poroshenko.
Meanwhile, the representative of the “moderate wing” of the Majlis, deputy chairman of the national body Nariman Jelal, disowned the trip to Kherson.
“From time to time this issue was voiced by individual members of the Majlis, but, in general, it was never put on the agenda. At the Majlis, the opinion was expressed that no one forbids every Crimean Tatar who has a passport of a citizen of Ukraine to exercise their right and take part in voting,” he noted.
In turn, according to Eskender Bariev, the Mejlis decided to contact the bodies within whose competence this issue is in order to facilitate the election procedure for Ukrainian citizens living in the Crimean Federal District.
