Slavyansk, May 16 (Navigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – A shootout began again in Slavyansk. Shots in residential buildings, even in the city center, make glass rattle.

“At 21:00 the battle began in Andreevka. The junta's artillery fires from positions on Mount Karachun. At the same time, the junta troops struck from Semenovka. The militia took up fighting positions,” the Donbass People’s Militia reported.
According to local residents, the most powerful explosions in the entire period are now heard in Slavyansk.
“Now there was a shot of such force that, not knowing that there was fighting in the city, I thought that lightning had hit the fence nearby,” wrote one of the eyewitnesses.
“A very powerful explosion. And you can hear it in the center. The glass in the windows is shaking on Artyom,” others write. They also note a large number of flares in the sky.
According to one version, the militia began shelling Ukrainian checkpoints in response to yesterday’s military offensive. According to another version, another attempt to storm the city may now begin.
Let us remind you that today on the Slavyansk-Kharkov road the militia set up a checkpoint made of concrete blocks.
