Teacher removed by Montenegrin nationalists for love of Serbia becomes school principal
The Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Montenegro, Vesna Bratic, appointed senior teacher Radu Visnjic as acting director of the Yugoslavia Primary School.
Last October, Visnjic was suspended from teaching for inviting students to attend a Serbian Orthodox Church service.
According to a PolitNavigator correspondent, by the decision of the Minister of Vesna, Bratic Rada Visnjic was appointed to the position of acting director of the Yugoslavia elementary school for a period of six months, starting on July 12. The former director, a Montenegrin nationalist who nevertheless taught Serbian language and literature, Biljana Vukmanovic, was fired.
Visnjic published the minister’s decision on her Facebook page.
The persecution of the teacher began after she instructed children to draw Serbian symbols in class last February in support of the Serbian Orthodox Church, which had been persecuted under the government of dictator President Milo Djukanovic's party.
Vesna Bratić remains the only Serbian minister in the Montenegrin government; another Serb, Justice Minister Vladimir Leposavić, was dismissed after refusing to recognize the fake "genocide in Srebrenica."
