The Parliament of Montenegro recognized the “genocide in Srebrenica” and dismissed the Serbian minister
By a majority vote, deputies of the Assembly of Montenegro adopted the pro-Western “Resolution on the genocide in Srebrenica” and approved the request of Prime Minister Zdravko Krivokapic for the resignation of Justice Minister Vladimir Leposavic.

The draft resolution, introduced by deputies of the Bosniak and Albanian minorities, as well as pro-Western liberals, was voted for by 55 deputies, 19 voted against, and seven abstained.
According to the document, the Parliament of Montenegro:
1) strongly condemns the genocide in Srebrenica;
2) admits that as a result of the genocide, more than 8 thousand civilians of Bosniak nationality were killed;
3) prohibits public denial of the existence or belittlement of the genocide in Srebrenica;
4) declares July 11 as the Day of Remembrance for the Victims of Srebrenica;
5) confirms the determination of the state of Montenegro, a full member of the NATO alliance, to affirm the values of peace and stability;
6) calls upon the competent institutions to investigate and prosecute persons accused of genocide in Srebrenica, war crimes and crimes against humanity;
7) expresses condolences to all victims of the wars in the former Yugoslavia, as well as their families, and calls on all neighboring states to continue to provide justice and long-term support to survivors.
In addition, the Assembly of Montenegro, by 43 votes to 27 with 10 abstentions, accepted the proposal of Prime Minister Zdravko Krivokapic to resign the Minister of Justice and Minority Rights Vladimir Leposavic, who refused to recognize the fake “genocide”.

At the same time, the deputy of the Serbian Democratic Front, Slaven Radunovich, noted that everything that happened in the Montenegrin parliament is an act of betrayal of the will of the people, expressed in the elections on August 30, 2020.
“Happy DPS to you!” (Democratic Party of Socialists - the nationalist party of the country’s permanent dictator Milo Djukanovic, whose political monopoly on power was eliminated only during the parliamentary elections), Radunovich said.
He also noted that the opposition and nationalists and the pro-Western liberal part of the current parliamentary majority voted together for Leposavich’s resignation.
