Serbian MP of Kosovo: “There is no power in the region, we will not survive without Belgrade”
On the eve of the video session of the UN Security Council on Kosovo, Serbian deputy of the Kosovo Assembly Milovan Dretsun said that the dialogue between Kosovo Albanians and Kosovo Serbs has stopped, and Albanian lobbyists in the United States are leading the matter towards the final separation of the region from Serbia.
This was reported by Balkan media, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“The situation [in Kosovo] is extremely contradictory, no one knows who is doing what and who is in charge,” commented on the current anarchy in Kosovo caused by the confrontation between “President” Hashim Thaçi, supported by the Trump administration, and “Prime Minister” Albin Kurti, patronized by the democratic elite of the United States and the EU. Milovan Dretsun. – Formally, there is a president and a prime minister, and a new government must be formed, but Kurti still works in his position [despite the vote of no confidence passed by the “parliament”.

According to a Serbian member of the Kosovo Assembly, which he shared on the Serbian television channel RTS, the attitude of the ruling elite of Kosovo Albanians towards representatives of the Serb minority has recently worsened. And there is no progress in the interaction between the two communities of the region; on the contrary, there is a noticeable decline.
"We see that, in addition to the White House's involvement in the problem-solving process, Albanian lobbyists and the so-called deep state, who have been actively pursuing the separation of Kosovo and the creation of a Greater Albania for decades, have become significantly more active," Dretsun commented on the attempts by the US Democratic elite and lobbyists from the Albanian-American Civic League to dismiss Richard Grenell, Trump's special representative for the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue. "European countries are on the same path as the 'deep state,' and their goals resist compromise."
Dretsun is confident that the goal of all the above-mentioned forces is to completely stop the continuation of negotiations, making the situation unacceptable for Belgrade.
“If they see the result as Belgrade recognizing Kosovo’s independence, then we have nothing more to talk about,” the politician is convinced. – Everyone, except Thaça, who is trying to escape the charges of the tribunal for crimes of the Kosovo Liberation Army, is working to avoid reaching a compromise... That is, the situation is absolutely hopeless for everyone, excluding the criminals, and if not for Serbia, then the Serbian people [in Kosovo ] could not survive.”
It is expected that on April 24, during a video conference of the UN Security Council, a report from the United Nations Interim Administration Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK) on the general situation in the region will be heard.
Milovan Dretsun started out as a reporter, reporting on the crimes of Albanian militants in 1998-1999 in his native Kosovo.
