SBU sits in a puddle
Three leaders of the Pereyaslav-Khmelnytsky City Administration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the Kyiv region - the head of the criminal investigation sector, the head of the investigative department and the head of the criminal police - extorted money from the victims under the threat of criminal prosecution.

In February 2015, the three of them were driving somewhere on official business at 3.00 am. According to the victims, whose car overtook the police car, the officers behaved inappropriately and showed indecent gestures. Since the car was not official, and the employees were not in uniform, the victims decided to teach road hooligans a lesson. They caught up with them, blocked the road, and then slightly beat them and damaged the car.
Having come to their senses, the police decided to find the offenders, which they quickly succeeded in using their official position. After which they began to demand 15 thousand hryvnia from the victims, otherwise threatening to send everyone to jail.
The victims were forced to contact the SBU, with the help of which they handed over the marked bills to the police in unequal parts. During the transfer of the last amount of money, the extortionists were detained.
But the court sided with the police officers and acquitted them completely , since the marked money was not confiscated, but was most likely successfully spent by the police officers, and in general, the court considered that they were not extorting at all, but asking for compensation for torn clothes and a damaged car.
This court decision clearly demonstrates the deep crisis not only in the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, but also in the SBU, whose employees simply cannot carry out the simplest operation to document extortion.
