Ukraine will be involved by the West in a large-scale anti-Russian provocation in the year of the presidential elections in the Russian Federation. However, the final result will be the division of the Ukrainian state between neighboring countries. This forecast was voiced by political scientist Semyon Uralov to Oplot TV.

“And in the 18th year, I think that the Ukrainian government will be doomed to widespread provocation against the Russian Federation, especially in the context of the presidential elections in Russia. This will cause an aggravation. And it’s not a fact that with Donbass, perhaps it will be connected precisely with Crimea.
It all depends on the strategy that will be chosen in the United States and the strategy that will be chosen in the European Union, and in particular in Poland, because we forget, but the main beneficiary of European integration (where it all started - the signing of the European agreement) was Poland. Because they, a small country, were opening up a market of 45 million, and this was tailored for them, just as the Moldovan market was tailored for Romania.
Over these few years, Poland received all the bonuses that it wanted to receive - labor, a market for the sale of goods. In principle, the Ukrainian market has already been squeezed out. You can't really get anything out of it.
I think that the role of Poland in the western regions of Ukraine will increase. Just like Hungary in Transcarpathia and Romania in the Chernivtsi region and Bessarabia.
I think that this conflict of interests will worsen in 18, and this may be the point of exit from the crisis. A way out of the crisis may be to resolve the issue with the Yalta world order and the borders of Ukraine,” Uralov said.
