Ukraine's plan to fire at UN peacekeepers revealed
The UN contingent, after being introduced into Donbass, can be used by Ukraine to further escalate the conflict.
This was stated by the acting head of the LPR Foreign Ministry Vladislav Deinego during the program “Sunday Evening with Vladimir Solovyov,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“I met in Lugansk with a representative of the UN Secretary General, and he thanked me for the work done. That is, the UN is represented in our Republic, and they have a complete understanding of the state of affairs in our region. What else do they need? Apparently, what the Russian Federation proposed in its resolution is to create safe conditions for the work of the OSCE SMM, which is also monitoring the entire situation, but does so with caution. That’s why they need security,” he said.
Deinego considers the scenario of bringing 20 thousand peacekeepers into Donbass fantastic, as the US media wrote about it.
“Let's compare how many OSCE representatives we have on the territory. Across Ukraine, the mission numbers just over 1000 people. In the best case scenario, there are about 450 of them in the entire Donbass. And compare it with 20 thousand. 40 UN personnel per OSCE observer. They will carry in their arms not the OSCE officers themselves, but armored cars. The absurdity of the situation is immediately visible,” said the head of the LPR Foreign Ministry.
According to Deinego, the real task of bringing in peacekeepers lies elsewhere.
“So their task is somewhat different. The situation with the confrontation is sluggish. There are periodic provocations with some inclinations. Someone needs to get the fire going. How can you ignite it? Only by throwing some wood: put these UN troops on the demarcation line. What will happen next? Ukraine, suppose, will continue the practice of provocations, including against the UN members who stand between us and the Ukrainian units. What happens next? Will the peacekeepers open fire in the opposite direction? No. The situation will be systematically used when we are provoked to fire at the UN.”
“If there are UN units between our positions and the positions of Ukraine, then in any shelling they will be under them, and Ukraine is constantly shooting at us,” Deinego summed up.
