Putin's message predetermined the transition of power in Belarus
Serious changes announced by Putin will also occur in Belarus, following Russia.
Political scientist Alexander Shpakovsky, who is close to Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, wrote about this on his Facebook page, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“In fact, Putin began a controlled transformation of the Russian system. Belarus is expecting something similar in the near future,” wrote Shpakovsky.
“Transformation is not a revolution or perestroika, it is a controlled change in the system in order to maintain power. Example: Nazarbayev and Kazakhstan,” he explained in a commentary to his post.
Alexander Lukashenko last year announced amendments to the constitution and expansion of the powers of parliament. He also promised that his sons would not come to power.
