Political scientist: Poroshenko behaved in Germany traditionally inappropriately
Petro Poroshenko’s attempts during a visit to Berlin to disrupt the Nord Stream 2 construction project looked like inappropriate behavior of the Ukrainian president.
Political scientist Denis Denisov told PolitNavigator about this.

“As you know, on the eve of this visit, negotiations were held between Merkel and Putin. As we understand it, this is a “settling of watches” before the meeting with Poroshenko. In this regard, it is worth noting those traditionally inadequate statements by the President of Ukraine related to Nord Stream 2. As we know, he said that this is, in fact, a “bribe for Germany,” and European partners react to such things extremely harshly, carefully, and they certainly will not allow such statements to be made to the President of Ukraine.
We also know about the statement regarding the peacekeeping contingent. Here, too, Germany’s position is completely clear and adequate. There, realists are in power, and Merkel is more of a realist than a populist, like Petro Poroshenko.
I mean all these statements of his regarding the fact that in almost a few months a peacekeeping contingent will be in Donbass. Of course, this position is not shared by any real politicians who do not forget who is a permanent member of the UN Security Council.
To summarize, we can say that such negotiations at the moment are unlikely to bring any breakthrough or any sensation. This is, rather, a planned meeting, which is intended to once again confirm that Germany is included in the settlement process in Ukraine, but in recent months we have seen that European partners are traditionally carefully trying to distance themselves from the conflict,” Denisov said.
