According to Poroshenko’s election headquarters, after the politician’s arrival at the Lugansk airport, about four hundred protesters tried to block the politician. Thanks to the actions of law enforcement agencies, he finally escaped from the airport.
Poroshenko managed to hold a meeting at the Lugansk National University. Shevchenko. Commenting on the current actions of the authorities, including in Slavyansk, he said that negotiations should not be held in the east of the country, since they do not intend to compromise, but only understand the language of force.
Yulia Tymoshenko, also staying in Lugansk, told reporters that she had already handed over her “draft protocol of mutual understanding” to the people who occupied the SBU and stated that there were possibilities for unblocking the SBU building.
Politicians and political scientists have drawn attention to the difference in how pro-Russian activists Tymoshenko and Poroshenko are greeted.
“No conclusions – just a question. Why did Poroshenko try to detain 400 people in Lugansk, while Tymoshenko freely shook hands with masked separatists? Did Yulia Vladimirovna hypnotize them, and they became non-aggressive towards Ukrainian politicians?” – wrote, in particular, ex-Verkhovna Rada deputy Viktor Ukolov on his Facebook page.
Let us recall, as Navigator reported, the day before Yulia Tymoshenko held negotiations with representatives of the “Donetsk People’s Republic”, intending to sign a protocol of mutual understanding.
